Luckily I heard my rod fall and look over with the beagle chomping at my jig. She was about to swallow it(twss) and I grabbed the line and set the hook 
in her lip. Chaos with a mom and gf there at the time.
Mom: to the vet
Gf: I agree
Me: I got this
Moments later the hook was out and dog was fine.
