Again, why is it not ok for a fan to be there to shake a guys hand and say good game and good luck? You were already there "supporting your team".

Don't confuse our arguement. Nobody here has said that LSU baseball fans should taunt, curse, and spit on the opponents. But there is a big line in being respectful to an opponent, and celebrating their win with them. If you aren't there to watch the Tigers win, and you aren't disappointed when they lose, then don't wear purple and gold to the games, and don't yell "Tigers" when Chris Guillot yells "Geaux".

Seriously, some of our fans didn't even let Stony Brook get off of the dogpile before they started their cheering. There is nothing wrong with a polite applause as the winning team returned to their dugout, but to celebrate with them like that is a big slap in the face to those guys wearing gold in the LSU dugout that you allegedly pulled for all year long.

I agree with this, I am just saying its ok to give a tip of the hat to the other team when deserving. It doesn't make someone less of a fan.

Its not a slap in the face. Everyone in that stadium realized how incredible it was for a team like Stony Brook to come into Baton Rouge and make it to Omaha. These 18-22 year old KIDS deserved a celebration for what would be one of the best moments of their life.

It was done because it was Stony Brook and they were going to Omaha. That was probably one of the biggest upsets in LSU sports history. It would not have happened for a larger school.

Some of you guys need to get a grip. Obviously everyone there wanted to win, but the game was over at that point.
