It says to cook in the oven. How long to cook quail on the grill?

Probably around 6-7 min per side. Depends on size. Since its stuffed I would check the temp of the boudin after 14 min to make sure its in the 160-165 area.

If you're going to grill, you might consider wrapping it in foil until the stuffing is completely cooked through, then remove the foil for a quick sear on the outside. This sort of stuffed item is a haven for bacteria, and just because the quail meat is cooked to an optimum temp doesn't mean the stuffing is sufficiently cooked. Previous poster's suggestion to take the interior temp is an important one.

What i would do is set up my grill for two zone cooking. A hot side and a indirect side. Cook the bird on the indirect side just like the instructions say for the oven (same time and temp). After that, you can sear over on the hot side if you want. Of course, checking the internal temp is always a good idea to be sure.

I would cook something like that in the oven to be safe. And then just sort of sear it on the grill after to get the flavor
