Most on here didn't agree with it, but I thought it was a good idea to keep Nola on his same rotation after three straight complete games. Ended up working, thankfully.

This is how advanced CPM's thinking is regarding getting McCune ready for the playoffs. He was quoted as saying he wanted to see if McCune was ready to be the first game starter in the regional, where LSU as a one seed would play the four seed. He's not just thinking of the playoffs in general, he's thinking bout specific game situations. And he did get feedback from Coach Dunn, who everyone here agrees is one of college baseball's best pitching coaches. He made an educated decision, not some roll the dice & let's see what happens decision.
