I love the fact that TU's greed to have it's own network and flex it's muscle over the rest of the conference was the impetus for the big12's demise. It's also had the sweet caveat of allowing us to completely knock OU out of the picture in recruiting Texas players... TU and the rest of that dying conference are at a permanent disadvantage to the Aggies and with the SEC network and our new stadium, which will be ready to go in just 2 yrs, their downfall will pick up speed.
I wish I could have been in the room when A&M snubbed it's nose at TU and decided not to join the PAC12, I bet TU was flabbergasted at how little we needed them and as it turns out they really need us more.

That 28M just the SEC network licensing rights per year, it doesn't include advertising revenue which could almost double that number.
The CBS deal is about to blow y'all away!

As an LSU fan, I've done my fair share of poking fun at the Aggies, but all realistic SEC fans know what y'all joining the conference meant; increased revenue and respect. It was a great, progressive move by Slive that allowed for the SEC to rise further to the top of college athletics. This is a great day for SEC sports and it's also a great day to laugh at the Longhorns
