Jasper hit from fifty plus fairly consistently. He handled all kicks during his time at LSU. Alleman started kicking after he left. Alleman was the one with limited range.

An accurate and strong kicker who developed later in his collegiate career, Jasper is reliable with strong success from long range. He could be the first LSU kicker ever drafted, and that would likely come in the later rounds. If not, he should get a chance to compete for a roster spot in training camp. Jasper was limited to two field goal attempts over his first two seasons with LSU, but developed into one of the top kickers in the nation over the next two and earning consensus All-America status in 2010. He had 85 points in 2009 before capping his career with a personal-best 120 while making 28 of 34 field goals and missing just one of 37 extra points. He was accurate from 50 yards or more, making 5 of 7 chances over the last two seasons. He nailed a 50-yarder in a 41-24 win over Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 7, and his career long is 53. He was also adept at punting, averaging 41.0 yards while putting 14 of his 21 punts inside the 20 with the other seven going for touchbacks. Jasper drove two punts for 50 yards or more.
