Looking at the picture of the stadium, the original East and West sides as well as the South were concrete...the upper deck and North end were made of steel....
an earlier poster is correct, if the stadium were maintained and all the steel taken out, what's left would be a decent sized college football stadium....
as far as parking was concerned, a LOT of people took public transit...either the streetcar from St. Charles or the Feret St Bus....I can remember 15-20 buses waiting outside the stadium for spectators and they'd also lay on extra streetcars...
