I think our defense will improve pretty significantly switching to a 3-4 scheme

I completely agree. Between the move to 3-4 to get our better players on the field(Wilson and Galette) and our worse players off the field(Shanle, Herring, other crappy LB) and fitting some players better(Jordan, Bunkley, Hicks), and going back to an attacking man D ala GW which fits our secondary players, I think we see a great improvement, at least into the 18-24 range.
