The diesel will pull better than the gasoline. The diesel costs more to operate as well. The gas will save you money, but I think I would focus on a transmission cooler if you are going to go with the gas.

This is from Wikipedi on the 7.3 turbo diesel that began the diesel rage.

The 6.2 makes 410hp and 420tq. So a little less tq but more efficient.
