Hunting

Many species to kill. Above average hunting IMO. Fifth largest amount of elk in the country, more than WA. Trophy hunting out east, Pendleton area etc. Tags are gotten through a lottery but anyone can go up to the counter and get a general bull tag. Cow tags are on the lottery.

Salmon/steelhead fishing is good and being in PDX gives you a lot of rivers to choose from.

This is all very encouraging. How hard is it to acclimate to the grey weather?

Chalice_N_Gunderland, I hope your married b/c it's slim pickings in Portland.

I was there for a 8 days when I was single. Skied at Mt Hood and spent every night in downtown Portland and going out in the city looking for ladies. There were none to be found. In 8 days I saw 2 women I would consider pretty. That is it. I can go to one restaurant in Baton Rouge or New Orleans and pick out 3-5 pretty women. Not in Portland. That city is crawling with trolls.
