re: Yahoo article on Alfred Blue comments

Kind of getting back on the topic of sports... Gays want to be seen as equals with the ability to play sports and interact normally with the rest of society. They don't want to be stereotyped as "fairies" or "fruity" or any other "f" word that is out there. I get that and respect it because I know a few guys that you would never think just by hanging with them that they were gay.

The hypocritical part that bothers me is all people that disagree with homosexuality is said to be ignorant by the pro-gay community. Isn't that a stereotype? It's sad that there really are some "ignorant" gay bashers out there that torture the gay community with their words and actions, but I shouldn't be lumped into that category because I somewhat share a belief with them.
