Kudos to Big Al. I am sick and damn tired of having all this homosexual business thrown in my face. Don't ever expect me to accept what they are doing as normal and acceptable.

redfieldk717
who fricking cares? are we all suppose to support gays?
i sure as shite do not, thats my opinion

deuce985
I really hate this shite. It's all over the front page in the news all the time.

"Hey look, I'm gay"

Nobody gives a frick about your sexual orientation. Do I run around screaming I'm hetero? No. It's borderline attention whoring with all these athletes coming out saying they're gay. Don't come with the bullying crap either, is anyone holding a gun to their head? Being gay isn't going to change who you are so why come out with it if you're not comfortable?

Do I support gay people? You wouldn't see me carrying a sign for them down the road but I believe they should have equal rights as everyone else. I don't give a shite what someone does with their life. It's not for me to say how you should live. This is America, right?

Blue could've worded what he said better for sure. It came off as bigotry. However, I'm not going to give him shite over it. Just as I can respect a gay man living his life and having his own opinions, I'll do the same for Blue. Not everyone has to support gay people. That's the great thing about America.

It still amazes me to this day that anyone who has an opinion against gay/lesbian/bisexuals is treated as if they are an evil person who is intolerant, ignorant, and should be scolded. Maybe he just doesn't like the thought of homosexuality. It's his opinion and his right. I don't see anything wrong with what he is saying.

ctiger69
Who cares? He has a right to state his opinion. Most people agree with what he says. I'm tried of the minority of people pressing this gay stuff on others.

Holden Caulfield
We've become too damn overly sensitive in this country. Words, the young man spoke some words. Anyone hurt?

ChewyDante
Who gives a shite? Blue was asked and nothing he said was malicious. Get this PC shite out of here.

There’s a reason why Italian immigrants display pride in neighborhoods or Irish descendants make a big deal about their heritage. These displays make sense in the face of acts of hatred, ignorance, and violence that were perpetrated against their ancestors in American history. Most white folks don’t have a problem with Italian or Irish pride…and some even jump on the bandwagon.

But when it comes to Black History Month or a gay pride parade, way too many of those same people just don’t get why someone would want to celebrate and display pride.

At the end of the day, a whole lot of social and cultural forces affect the psyches of individuals who are made to feel like they are less than or somewhat less human. The numbers of homeless youth who identify as LGBTQ are incredibly high as are suicide rates. These numbers, these lost lives are no mystery. A cloud of hate and ignorance ensure that the numbers continue to swell. Sure, you can "not fricking care, " be "sick and damn tired," or even "hate this shite." That's certainly your right as a human and as an American citizen. But please know that your anger, fear, and hatred (which you have made very clear here) has consequences, whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

Blue’s comments—and some of the comments here—make it all too clear why it is important for celebrities, athletes, and individuals to come out as queer or as allies and show solidarity. There’s a whole lot of tragedy that is wrought by words and acts of hate. You might think you're not responsible because you keep your thoughts to yourself (unless you feel safe on a message board somewhere), but unless you're actively resisting the forces that drive fear, ignorance, and hate then you're complicit in the crimes enacted on your fellow man. (See World War II as an example.)

Well hell, if they dispute their own manhood, why can't Blue agree?

I’m no less a man than you are. And I'm sure about that.

Most queers act, walk and talk like women. How else would you think of them? It's not a hate crime. It's the truth. Doesn't mean your afraid of them either. But most dudes I know don't really want to hang around a locker room with queers. It's not about fear. It's about respecting a man as a man and when you find out that man is gay, do you really still see him as a man?

This has to be a joke. You’re trolling, right?

You mean the same people that cannot understand someone wanting to display a Confederate flag?
