People are amazed that I call most food outside of Louisiana bland. Like here in Washington, everyone is gaga over the seafood. I'm like, it's fresh but lacks flavor. My girlfriend had no clue what I was talking about until she went to Louisiana experienced the food there. She now understands my struggles.

I lived in New England many years. I like the seafood there... but for a different reason than down here. I said I like it... I didn't say I like it MORE than down here. But it is bland. They think butter is a spice.
