For the first 2 1/2 years after its inception it was available to college and then to high school students ONLY on an invitation only basis.
It was not opened to the general public (13 years and older) until September, 2006. So 4 years after its initiation for the general public it had almost 800 million users.
Uh oh. It's gonna be hard for Wiki to recover from this obvious blunder. But it will be interesting to see how much spin he gets on the ball.

Let's analyze the facts:
I made no qualifications in my initial statement about Facebook and their model for accepting users. I simply said that Facebook didn't have a billion users at its inception. That they chose to slowly grow the network by allowing new users was a business decision. It is actually irrelevant to my point, though.
But even if we accept the moving of the goal posts (which, by the way, is a common tactic used by that moron), he still fricking lied.

So that the goal posts can't be moved later on: What would it take for bitcoin to be a success, in your opinion?
Oh wait, I already asked you this and you said it would require a major business accepting it. So then I pointed out that reddit, the 53rd most popular web site in the US accepted it, and you dismissed that as not major enough.
So then I pointed out that WordPress, the 21st most popular web site in the WORLD accepted it, and you dismissed that as well.
You like to move the goal posts too.
