It is somewhat more about the person behind the trigger for me, but, as an objective standard - approaching 2 pounds is the limit of safety for me, and even then - I would be forced to remind the person they have a light trigger if handling the weapon.
But it is a tertiary concern for me.
1. Is the carrier a mature, responsible person?
2. Does the carrier always follow Rule #1 (muzzle in a safe direction)?
3. Is the trigger too light?
