Little Miss Sunshine. I can't even finish the movie. It just bores me to tears.

Hate's a strong word. I think the films of the Andersons (PT and Wes) are grossly overrated, but I don't hate them. I just think they are incredibly overrated.
But I hate Gone with the Wind. I mean, I detest it with almost every fiber of my being. It is overwrought and overproduced, but it's also responsible for more bad history than any other movie. It's a vile, racist film that props up the slaveholding culture as something noble, and also who's heroes are clearly members of the KKK. It offends me to my core, especially how people try and justify it as a beautiful love story or some such nonsense.
That's the hook to get you to swallow the central tenant of the film: that this wonderful culture is "gone with the wind". Screw that. It's in the trash heap of history. It would be like if the Sound of Music glorified the Nazis.
I loathe this movie. Loathe it.
