There's a reason they say LT's PROTECT the blind side of most qb's, because that's where most of the rush is coming from, the defensive ends

It's called the blind side because most qb's are right handed It's because you're best tackle is blocking on an island by himself usually. A RT is more important to a left handed qb...

Orrr, I could've meant that he drafted SJAX really high, essentially wasting a draft pick, thus creating a terrible lineup for the rest of his team.

Again completely irrelevant to the conversation.

I think Smith could be better than Bushrod.

You drunk? Even if Bushrod is overrated, which I am not arguing against, if this was even remotely possible Smith, a 26 year old former 2nd overall pick, would have gotten a lot more dough regardless of how bad his qb's have been... See Willie Roaf

WTF?? Guards are utilized more for run-blocking which is why you don't see as many sacks for defensive tackles

The player you named that said Drew makes look better was Jahri Evans.. A GUARD

And yes while guards are very important to the run game, we quite frequently give help to our sub par tackles with TE's and running backs chipping to flood the DE's out where as our guards are one on one.

Not mad......bro....just good to have a dispute on here every once in awhile. Most of the time I agree with what's written on here.

So, our guards ARE important BC Drew is stepping up to avoid a pass rush from the edge.....typically. With that said, though a DE beats an average LT/RT, Drew has the ability to step up and make a throw because of POCKET PRESENCE/AWARENESS, something Bradford and mostly Sanchez lack in a lot of instances.

To sum up my opinion, I just feel like Drew can help unlock this guy's potential that the other teams/qbs couldn't. And I'm saying that Smiht has a higher ceiling than Bushrod.
