I'm all for taking Rambo in the 3rd, but I don't think the Leonhard signing has anything to do with the draft.
Also, if we were going to draft a safety, we'd keep Harper and just draft a safety to compete with him and Jenkins. Not sign another guy for depth.

Well it does make sense if we are preparing to draft a safety. Let's say for argument sake (excluding whether or not it is more likely or not we draft a safety as a result of this move) that we do in fact take one in the first. Whether it be at 15, or if we traded back. You honestly think they will keep Harper, with Bush showing he is at least a serviceable plug in, and a new guy coming in with a high ceiling? The freeing up of the 3.6 mill would be the biggest factor that I say he's gone if this happens because there are still a lot of holes we could fill with that money, and some pretty decent FA's available still.
