NVIDIA's response to the 290x is awesome, and I'd totally just try a single 780 Ti if I could get an easy sale of my 7970s + backplates + waterblocks for at least $700. But it still pains me to think I'd be breaking even for a performance cut.

Yeah, only bright side would be less headaches with those SLi/CFx issues. (Even though I really get none these days)

I would just be purchasing the 3GB reference model because Maxwell is rumored 3-4months out. So, not going all in on 2x780Ti. Will use my Titan's blocks for the 780Ti hopefully.
