The returnees in the passing game (WRs/TEs/RB's) accounted for 4,551 yards (91%) of the 4,997 passing yards the Saints achieved last year, along with 38 of 43 TD rec's.
7th rd pick Colston & UDFA Moore each had 1000+ yards and 3rd rd pick Graham was 18 yards away from the Saints having three 1000 yard catchers, while altogether accounting for 25 TD rec's.

It is a luxury, not a priority to upgrade the passing game via the WR position (for the present & future) with the #15 pick when there are more urgent present & future needs:

-a non-existent pass-rushing OLB,
-an undersized NT Bunkley,
-an oft-injured & aging ILB Vilma,
-an aging RDE W. Smith,
-an oft-injured LT Charles Brown,
-a coverage liablity SS Roman Harper,
-a deer-in-the-headlights NB Corey White,
-a mediocre RT Strief
-an inconsistent FS Jenkins

I will concede there is a deep speed DEPTH problem behind Morgan. The passing game was off following Meachem's exit until Morgan's deep speed was finally used in the GB game & made defenses honest, thus susceptible. The Saints won 5 out of the next 7 because our only hope (the passing game) was finally clicking. If Morgan goes down, the field gets smaller for pass defenders.

Upgrading the worst defense in the history of the league is unequivocally paramount. Fixing the flat tire is more of a priority to get things rolling faster than switching from regular to premium unleaded.

This deserves its own thread IMO, Freek. I completely agree with everything you said. (frick, didn't mean to put the Geaux Tigers emoticon)
Meant this instead, (Was on phone)

I do think that this could be a problem, as far as speed is concerned. Toon I see as a potential Colston-type of player, good possession guy, which of course is extremely valuable. But, as far as speed guys to stretch the field, outside of Morgan the Saints really don't have anything.
