I kind of get where you are coming from when saying young people now wouldn't like the old series if they watch it now. it's not really that similar in it's impact but boy meets world was my childhood show, there was no television series that could top it but I see people that watch it now say it sucks. it hearts my heart

What if they re-imagined that with Corey being from a broken home, physically, emotionally and sexually abused. Grows up - gets involved with a lot of drugs and violence, before, kind of, cleaning up, perhaps getting out of jail at 21 after a juvenile sentence, with kind of an ambiguous ending to it? But wait, what if it was just incredibly well-written and acted and got all sorts of awards?

That wouldn't make you wrong for not liking it, would it? It wouldn't make it wrong for people who didn't watch the original to like and enjoy it, but you might wonder how a fan of the original show like yourself could just love the hell out if it, huh?

I'm just saying that's how it is sometimes.
