Yeah I understand that but man the guy puts up great combine and gym numbers. It's a wonder that someone cant get them to translate to the field ya know

Someone? More like why can't his strength translate over to the field better.

There are freaks in every gym across America that would put up good numbers for the combine and be a beast in the weight room. Doesn't make you a football player at all. Ford didn't really have the football mindset, which is what makes a player IMO. He would run straight up and on a straight line, couldn't move side to side, and wasn't physical. All his freak attributes go right out the window when he steps on the field except for his straight line speed. And in football, you rarely run in a straight line.

That said, I think someone will give him a shot in the 7th. He could be a decent return guy.
