In the advertising world, companies like this have spent millions to make parents think they should give a crap about how big-dollar purchases affect their children's social status.

Encouraging parents to let their kids become the little turds (cleaned that up) these kids are, insures many shallow, image conscious, "my family is the coolest", parents for the future.

It's a little like making the texting guys at the ballgame the witty, "cool" people. This phone company is just trying to get in on them earlier.

People who don't think for themselves, & worry too much about what others think, will be sucked in very easily.
