70s was great.

Sitoms - All in the Family, M*A*S*H, Jeffersons, Happy Days, SOAP, WKRP, Barney Miller, Sanford and Son. Fun shows (for a kid) Emergency, SWAT, CHIPS, Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk plus most of the cartoons and kids shows were better.

And that was just with 3 channels.

2000 to now has been really good for drama - Sopranos, The Shield, The Wire, Mad Men, Breaking Bad and GoT are some of my favorite shows of all time.

70's Cop Private Eye shows were way better than the stuff now. Fun stuff to watch didn't take themselves too seriously. Just a few.

Rockford Files, Columbo, Hawaii 5-0, Mcmillan and Wife, Cannon, McCloud, Baretta, Mannix.
