My first game in Tiger stadium was in 1957.The following year we had season tickets on the 15 yard line, 20 rows up directly across from the band. Hell yes, I remember...I have probably only missed 20 games since 1958. Both daughters were cheerleaders...LSU FOREVER.

One of my favorite things about that game actually didn't happen until a year later. When Jones pulled it out against them in '72, the Ole Miss fans were furious. The Ole Miss student newspaper reported the score like this:

Ole Miss 16
LSU 10 + 7

The next year, when we steamrolled them in Jackson 51-14, the Reveille reported the score like this:

Ole Miss 14
LSU 10 + 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 + 6

I laughed my arse off.
