Sam plays with emotion. When he is emotionally invested in a game it brings out his best.
To me it says that he has a lack of focus.
After LSU irked by an awful Auburn team he talked about how they needed a dog fight like that to get them prepared for the rest of the season.
They shouldn't have needed that IMO. Miles coaches them up to play dominant football no matter what, but it sounds like the team leaders weren't reinforcing that on the field last year.
