Dads side immigrated to Penn from Germany in 1750 onboard the ship Osgood. I've got a copy of the passenger log and a diary kept by another passenger. It says a female passenger died in childbirth and they tossed her and her baby overboard. Ended up in N. Carolina and descendents moved to MO in 1870. Then TX then FL in the 1940's.
Dads mom immigrated from Russia to Canada then S. Dakota in 1890 then MO. MO neighbors burnt down their house and ran off all the livestock (guess they had a funny accent). When Grandad met her her family was living in the barn.
Moms people immigrated to MO from Germany in 1850 (via New Orleans). Good Catholics. My HS graduation present was a mass said in my honor. Thanks great aunt Hilda.
