First of all, this is baseball. It isn't like football where you expect to thump WEstern bumfrick Idaho. In baseball, the game allows for more parity.

Secondly, the beginnig of the season are always a time to shake off rust and have the younger players learn discipline at the plate. And in a cold weather game like this, the bats almost always go dead.


If SEC play started now, I'd be very worried. However, we've got time to tinker with the order and shake off the rust. Overall, you gotta know that Rhymes, Moore, Katz, Sciambra, and Ross have all proven they can hit SEC pitching.

Thanks mustache you answered my question . I've followed LSU baseball since the 80's but I dont feel that I am that knowledgable about baseball .
