tests it,

that's his problem.

You coincidentally discovered the negative AD exploit on the gateway website by mistake. You decided to put a negative bid on an item without a buyout the same day everyone was exploiting it for profit. You found a bug that has been in the game since closed beta, at approximately the same time all 3 servers were rampant with people exploiting it. The same time the method went public. Your next thought was to do it a few more times.

Yeah, that sounds legit.

I'm not trying to argue people weren't honestly beta testing the game, but from what I'm hearing, the "beta" label is just a formality right now so they can refer to certain questions and issues by saying "it's beta"

communication made it clear that "beta" is just an excuse for bugs and exploits, and not the real development status of the game.

quote:

I believe they call it beta because there are still a few things missing, such as the expanded pvp, raidingm, classes and expanded classes.

Beta doesn't mean you should break the game and exploit it if you can. This isn't a test build you are not testers.

Similar to how google call a lot of their products beta, it just means its not really feature complete, not that google mail users for instance are just testing their product.

quote:

There is also the terms and conditions that do state quite clearly that "you agree not to take any of the following actions" "Using or exploiting any bugs, errors, or design flaws to obtain unauthorized access to the Service or to gain an unfair advantage over other players"

So while the OP says he was testing, I find it hard to believe he didn't know full well what he was doing. OP was banned, and a ban he deserved.
