Thankfully it's CB and S--the two deepest positions in Texas--where we're losing the two best players.

Paris is generally considered the best safety in Texas. Rivals disagrees, but it's arguable. Nevertheless, Jamal Adams and DSG are still out tere. These guys are top 75 national players. If A&M gets DSG and Texas gets Adams, is there really a loser here? Of course not.

Paris is a La. transplant. It'd be unusual if he didn't go to LSU.

Losing Brown sucks--no doubt. But we've got Nick Harvey and Cedric Collins at CB. Harvey's a top 50 player and Collins falls within the top 150 (maybe 200). So while not signing Brown--the state's best CB--blows, the loss is mitigated by signing two elite level kids at the position. It's not like TAMU's CB class will be a liability.

In short, you're getting two players many believe are the best at their respective positions. But because their counterparts are elite, we can't really complain. The DB class in Texas is just insane.

It's a shame that these "fence" addicts don't see it this way. LSU fans absolutely freak out if a player from La. gets out of that mythical fence. All the while, LSU just goes down the list and picks up another elite player for that kid that left the state.
