Tigers beat UNLV 6-1...JUCO transfer Ashley Czechner gives up an early run then shuts the Rebels down. LSU with 13 hits in the game...they are mashing up and down the order.
Wow, just noticed this and another SEC notch out in the Calif deserts. I'm only 1 1/2 hours away in LA and maybe they can hear me yelling for them...geaux

After Fico shut them out OSU whipped Arizona 6-0. Zona is gonna go all out since this is their last game and they've looked like crap in this tourney but I'm expecting a comfortable LSU win.

I am a little torn on what I would like to see. Torina could pitch Fico both games...tomorrow and Sunday and go for her best chance at winning....OR she could throw Patterson or Czechner in one of the games to see if they are up to the task. This early in the season, I hope the throws Patterson/Czechner in one of these games to get them ready for SEC play.

Books still out on Czechner. She settled down well but she was really shaky in 1st couple innings tonight. Against a better team that game could've been over before we got to bat. I think she might just be relegated to Patterson's role from last year. The way our SEC schedule starts so weak I think they can break Patterson in over the first 4 series. I wouldn't be stunned if Patterson started tomorrow though but definitely Fico for UCLA.

GREAT JOB by Fico, and great to see the team batting average up at .325, after hitting .220 as a team, last year.

LSU has girl's softball team? What next, a girl's basketball team?

So you are the one who has chosen to be "that guy" in this thread. Congrats on being an arse!

I am excited to hear how we'll they are playing. My niece is a 2014 commitment.

You have to be proud CPT. What position and where from? Tigers are pretty selective.
So who they pitching today? Wish it were televised.

Ladies beat #14 AZ just now 3-0 as Fico got another shutout. Play #16 UCLA tomorrow at 11am. It's odd to see these softball power houses ranked so low as the west has dominated this sport for years.
Wonder who we are going to pitch tomorrow.
Gueax girls :jump2: :jump1:

I hope they pitch Fico. These types of games would go a long way down the road in RPI numbers and potentially hosting regionals/superregionals.

Fico is going off in Cali.

Zona is down this year. They're hitting around .270, which is way off normal, and their ace is hurt. UCLA will be a much stiffer test. We'll see if they go with Paige McDuffie, she was a LSU commit who switched when Yvette retired.

Fico's ERA down to a salty 0.40. Nice work.

UCLA at 11:00 this morning. That's 9:00 on the west coast.
