Hopedale/Delacroix/Reggio are about an hour from the city, you can also fish port sulfur/mrtyle grove/Venice. You can go recreational boating in the lake, about a 10 minute drive at most from the city. If I was in your situation, I would trade in for a center console, you can still do pleasure boating. Only dry storage I know of in the city is sea brook harbor. If you have never fished la get ready, some of the best if not the best in the country.
