Maters are one of most aggervating to me.. If not enough calcium in soil they bottom rot, bugs love em, worms love em, haha just alot of attention... With that said, if you are just looking to grow a few in pots you shouldn have much problem. When i garden i have a fairly big garden and plant all in the ground.

I love a good vine-ripened tomato, but they're just not worth the aggravation to me.
I grow and like loquats. Lots of sweet fruit, no bugs, no predators, and absolutely no hassle. Maximum benefit with minimal effort expended.
