Yeah, I can see why he no longer wants to be king. He was a kid at the time living kiddish fantasies for being king. Then his father is killed and he finds himself responsible. He has to grow up immediately and is on his own. His motives and actions are understandable.

Understandable and I don't need a 15 minute sequence but they basically show this though the hakuna matata sequence which, for me, is lame
