In episode two they were using rocks to break into the department store.
One zombie using a rock to pay homage to the original Night of the Living Dead doesn't mean they were using tools in season 1 and then stopped using them as time went on.

Season 3 sucks balls. Used to be one of my favorite shows.

I don't think it sucks balls. I mean, y'all do know this show is based off comic books.....the show is loosely following that plot line (the prison, the governor, etc.)
I still enjoy it.

Didn't know that actually.

You obviously don't know a lot when it comes to the show.

In season one the zombies seem a lot faster and more violent. They were still this way in the first part of Season 2, but after that they just became boring. They would actually attack you and run for you, instead of just walking around slow and dumb-like. They even had a zombie climb a chain link fence in Season 1 Episode 2 when they were escaping Atlanta yet a wooden fence stopped an entire herd of them in Season 2. Is there a reason for this, or just the writers changing the way they act?
The longer a dead body with no blood circulation exists, the more it breaks down. The more it breaks down, the less strong it is. Simple as that.

What about the ones that haven't been dead that long? Surely not all of them died at the same time. And that wouldn't effect the urge to feed. Hell the zombie in Season 1 that was crawling without legs was trying harder than most of the ones in Season 3.
There are less "fresh" zombies than old ones at this point. Most of the population died early on.

I have one too. Can a zombie starve after a time of not eating meat? We are told only a shot to the brain stem will kill them. If they do not die from starving, then why the need to eat meat at all?
The need to eat meat is just an instinct to feed.
The "scientist" in Woodbury had already observed that they were starving. It's just at a much slower rate than humans.

One=/=All
One was trying to break glass. There's a significance in that.

Well everyone is infected so as more people die, the zombie population continues to grow...
Yeah but they're not all dying in massive numbers. For the most part, by now the living now are doing a good job at living. So less people are actually dying...significantly less compared to the first 3-5 months of the outbreak.
Population of the lower 48 former united states by now probably has a 90% (if not more) loss. the initial dead are slowing down and dying because they are decomposing, not finding fresh food to eat (which also may be a somewhat water source if any) and time is taking it's toll.
the survivors are surviving for the most part. And if you haven't noticed. when a person dies, its usually rare enough to be seen by another living person, who usually disposes of their brain before they can return as a "fresh new zombie"..

A bite kills, those that are infected thus far have shown to just carry the virus without it taking their lives.
Komodo dragons have about 50 different bacteria in their saliva. they bite their prey's legs and follow them for long periods of time, just waiting for the infection to slow them down..to the point where their legs may not even work.
When a zombie bites i think it's the same, not so much as them tracking. but the infection spreading a lot quicker to the point of death by bacteria or an advanced viral infection. Most people ran away after being bitten, or got away.. and died elsewhere alone, or in a group and perhaps bit others (keep in mind this is a world where the romero films never existed. so people weren't educated on how the virus worked.) People like Morgan tried to take care of his sick loved one..and had to let her go when she came back. everyone has a story im sure.
In this series zombies seem to herd up. I dont 100% know why, have to ask the creators/writers on that one but i suppose sound is why we see large groups of them.
There are over 300 million people in america. Atlanta has over 400,000 people and we didnt see close to half of that when they were in the city. Its suggested that the zombies are attracted to noise, so when a straggler hears others it joins the group, and so on and on till you have a louder and growing massive herd.
in shorter words, they probably have come from all over attracted to the sound of others..is why we see so many.
