I would say go for it if the model 19 is in good shape. Those Smith revolvers seem to hold there value very well. Of course, any gun these days seems to.

I love k frames.
Not sure what the value of that gun is. Or the glock. I'm clueless about the glock actually, so idk if you're getting screwed or not.

No idea as to the round count, but it locks up well, timing is good and the topstrap is not flame cut.
This is what he tells me. Not knowing a ballpark of the round count kind of worries me, but he assures me its in good shape.

seems like an even trade.
You need to go look up the "buying a used revolver" thing on the web. A .357 can be used really hard.

Is he the original owner?
Ask him what he shot out of it mostly
ETA: He'll probably say nothing but .38's with a few magnums every now and then.

I'd say $450-$500 for the glock. I'm attempting to research the model 19.

According to hickok theyre great six shooters. I'm gonna sleep on it and wait for pics.

If the 19 has ben taken care of it's a good trade IMO
Would still try for the 44, throw in a few beers & he might go for it

Do you know him pretty good? Take him out for some beers, if he won't come down on the price go to plan b.
While having drinks hire a hooker to come sit in his lap & take a pic. blackmail his arse

Don't know him at all. Just got a wild hair to post my glock, which I don't really like to see if I could get any decent offers. After about 5 low balls,my favorite of which was a remington 770 243 plus a c note, to my surprise, I got some respectable offers.

If in good shape get the 19, those are some really nice revolvers. S & Ws don't really lose any value, unless they are beat all to hell and even them I'm surprised at the prices I've seen. A plus for the 19 is they were all made before s&w started putting locks on their revolvers.

This.
If it's been fed a bunch of 125gr magnums I would steer clear though. K frames do not like being fed magnums with light bullets on top. Occasional use is fine, but if you feed it 125s every time you shoot it, you'll make it hate it's life.

I'd like that 44 for no other reason than it will frick somethins world up beyond meaning if I'd have to use it on a crackhead, hog, uncollard dog, etc.

A .357 ain't gonna leave much of its target behind, and you won't be reeling so much from it, that you can actually unload on something with some accuracy.
