I'd say 5-10 percent of the total posts on this threads are posts that are blaming the kid for not taking care of his grades, an accusation that seems shaky at best, considering the number of schools that aren't treating him like a grade risk.

Think about some other prospects LSU dropped because of academic issues. Interest in them declined. Once LSU changed the offer on this kid, schools came popping out of the woodwork -- TCU, Kentucky, Tennessee, Moo State, Texas, Oklahoma State, pretty much any major school in the region that didn't fill its DT need on signing day. His grades must be checking out pretty good.

Again, LSU's going to do what it has to and it is what it is and all that. But like Choupique said, LSU has lost the ability to complain the next time a Gunner Kiel flips.
