one day we're going to see a situation where a kid uses the "saving himself" reasoning and requests off of a team if he commits before his senior year... the colleges won't mind bc they know how good the kid is, whether he's selfish or smart by bailing on his HS
i mean for most kids, a state championship is all they'll ever play for, but in LA, it's lost its luster since the split passed. for the surefire college kids, they'll be playing for SEC and BCS (or whatever it's called now) championships. State pales in comparison when you have a major college career and a legit shot at the NFL
