Another point I forgot to make about the USMNT:
Using the EPL as a comparison, I feel that most of the esteemed members of the SB view the U.S. as "Chelsea" or "Man City" v. Honduras' "Wigan Athletic".
In reality, this scenario, in my mind, is U.S. as "Stoke City" or "Fulham" and Honduras as a Wigan or QPR.
(of course, Mexico is Man. United in this scenario)
