Genius call by John Harbaugh to tell all 10 blockers to tackle the defenders. Holding in the endzone is a safety but that was Koch's intention anyway. The holds allowed a couple more seconds to tick off. Genius

it is genius...but thinking about it it does bring up a valid point of how the hell did the refs not throw a flag?

Yeah. But the way the game was called, I'm not all that surprised.

I was sitting in 612 and saw a few of the holds.

Yea I expect you'll see the rules committee look into this in the offseason. It's 100% legal and smart as hell at the moment, but they have to do something about it. In theory they could not even try to hide it, be openly tackling the defenders to the ground (which they borderline were) and milk like 20 seconds off the clock. It'll likely be changed this offseason.

I think the refs were more concerned with getting the clock stopped at the fight time since it was obvious a safety was going to occur. they weren't really looking for a hold is what I'm trying to say.
