This is for one plant in the United States 1.6 BILLION rounds per year!
So great was the demand for ammunition that the U.S. Army was temporarily forced to buy from foreign suppliers. Several years of effort and hundreds of millions of dollars of industrial investment were spent upgrading the existing infrastructure at the Lake City plant, which now is capable of producing up to 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition per year for the U.S. armed forces.

Cabela's stock seems to change up daily online, and so do other sellers. Our local Walmart is still getting shipments in, but there are usually not much on the shelves right now, at least not more than a day or so.
Not sure when that will end. Buds store had a good supply of ammo and their gun shelves looked fairly full again compared to December.
