Well, there you go. This is clearly a situation that is not standard. LSU just doesn't want to take the risk...I'm sure due to experience and knowledge in its end.

Are you saying that Les Miles and his staff are so incompetent at recruiting that they aren't aware of what classes an "at-risk" COMMITMENT is taking to academically qualify?
No wonder Nick Saban got Eddie Lacey elgible when LSU couldn't.
Actually, I don't believe the above statement because I know that LSU is very involved in knowing what classes their COMMITMENTS are taking. You just made an ignorant statement that implied that LSU had no clue about this kid's transcript. The excuse that LSU is giving is about a class taken last summer, 7 months ago.

If you don't think there are players at LSU that have had grade trouble then you are fooling yourself.
My main point is that LSU offered the kid, the kid never wavered on his commitment, worked extremely hard to raise his grades/ACT and never even visited anywhere else and the staff should honor the scholarship. I wouldn't have cared if LSU didn't recruit him because of grades. That's fine but don't pull the scholarship a week before NSD.
I hate when something like this puts a damper on my love for the tigers.
