No one ever mentions Broughton. Another guy who should have quite a bit of potential at 3-4 DE.

I don't see Broughton as a 3-4 DE at all. He is kind of small for a 4-3 DE. It's the same reason I laugh at people who say we could use Will as a 3-4 DE. I really think some people don't understand the differences between 3-4 and 4-3 personnel. Now I absolutely see Broughton as a 3-4 OLB. That was the 1st thing I thought of when we signed him. He's a little bigger and faster than Clay Matthews and I think him paired with Tez have the potential to be something great.

While I'm trying to not be a Debbie downer what makes you think this? The dude hasn't even seen the field and he can be something great? Obviously it's all potential but I wouldn't reach that far.
I would take and apply that comment to Wilson/Gallette much sooner than Broughton

Cameron Jordan 6'4" 287 4.7, Braylon Broughton 6'4" 272 4.55. I believe he can play both actually. I know Jordan is more talented but we cant say that he could be a probowler but Broughton doesnt fit because of size and speed. If he were to stay this size sure use him at OLB but if he continues to bulk up like the 18lbs he put on last year then yeah he could definitely fit into the role of a 3-4 DE IMO.

But if Broughton does keep his weight and speed where it is now. Just another monster on the outside to get after the QB.

272 pounds is small for a 4-3 DE? 6'6, 272 pounds is not someone who should be playing 3-4 OLB. Will Smith is listed at 282 pounds, but looks to be more like 290. Either way, he definitely has the size and power to be a 3-4 DE. You sound like someone who doesn't understand anything about 3-4 defenses.
