Its xspc tubing with distilled water. I'm using silver kill coil
Alright so all about this WC loop. I spent roughly $400ish give or take on the whole thing. I got a deal for the 7970 that came with the block, and I got a deal on the pump. Everything else was bought brand new off of frozencpu. I would have finished the build in a few hours, but I had to go through and buy like 6 different sets of screws before I found the right ones.
I went with the Gentle Typhoon fans on top of the radiator in pull because I took up a lot less space in the case (the 810 has a very nifty top slot for fans for a rad, watch linustechtips review on it). The 810 is a great water cooling case, because it can fit a 360, a 240 and two single 120s at the same time. I went with the Black Ice SR1 rad because it is optimized for low RPM/quiet fans, which is what I was looking to do with this build (make it quieter).
I just finished playing DayZ and my temps never went above 40C, and they don't go above 42C in 3DMark overclocked at 1125/1575. I have yet to OC the processor yet, but don't worry that's soon to come.
I really only spent $300 on this build, mostly because of the water cooling. I was able to sell my last build for a very nice amount, so it made funding this build a heck of a lot easier
