eta: whats your education/work history and ill tell you exactly what i would do if i were you.
Graduated in kinesiology. No tech related experience. Most experience is in retail and athletic/sports equipment, and apparel. Not sure If I want to make the switch yet, just thinking about it.

you would need experience over certs/education to get in entry level service/support type work.
if you dont NEED a job: go volunteer to intern at a local shop. most are more than happy to have you and help teach you. they also know basically every IT manager and shop owner in your area, and will be able to get you a job with a good recommendation.
if thats not an option and you need to keep your current income level: start studying for your A+, Net+, and Security+ exams. The A+ is REALLY basic hardware and its not really a good value (takes two exams to complete) but you need either some experience or the A+.
don't bother trying for any other certifications than those listed. anything higher than that with no experience looks fishy on a resume.
