I went to the Golf Connection once here in Lafayette to ask about getting irons re-shafted. I had some regular flex shafts in my irons and I was looking for something a little stiffer. He recommended buying a new set of irons with the correct shaft rather than re-shafting because
1) it is way more expensive to re-shaft
2) the shafts on the clubs that come from the factory are assembled and calibrated individually to each club head to insure proper fit, so it's better to just pick the shaft you want from the club manufacturer and have custom clubs made.
If I were you, I would just custom order a new set of irons direct from a manufacturer and have them customize the shaft length for you. Of course I would highly recommend Titleist
ETA: not sure if the same costs/principles apply to re-sizing.

I remember being really surprised at the cost of the extension project. So that doesn't surprise me.

This is really my plan, I just thought there were other legit options.
quote:Well to be honest with you, I have never hit with a Titleist club. A few years back when the range on KS held demo days, I swung several clubs and found the Callaway's were awesome. Of course those were x20's so that was a few years ago. It's just hard to go into Golf Connection and start swinging clubs with someone watching me. I get nervous and swing worse than I already do. The demo days were perfect.
Of course I would highly recommend Titleist
