quote:I think the quality has always been the same, but they are pricing themselves out of competetion with other fast food chains IMO. They are still a good option, but I can spend 8.50 at a sit down diner or a mexican place. IMO that is too high for a tuna sammich and a coke.
Subway has gone way down in quality and up in price the bigger they have gotten.
Wendy's and Arby's are doing this also. I liked going to those places for lunch becaus eI thought they were a little more high quality than McDonald's or Taco Bell. But they are 8 bucks also for a combo meal.
Hell, all the McDonald's that have been remodeled have gone up in price.
I eat out too much.

Wendy's
I was going to say this when I read the first portion of your post.
I got that Asiago Ranch Chicken Sandwich at Wendy's and it was almost $10. I spend that at a "real" restaurant with much better food and a table I can sit at.

and when you get down to it .. you can buy a pound of fresh sliced turkey .. a loaf of hoagie rolls .. mustard and a tomato for about the same as one sub meal over there and eat probably four sandwiches ..
