Mr. B...
It is so rampant at another school that their 7th grade baseball team is playing 14 year old baseball...and their 8th 15s.....
Most of the parents are doing it within the rules.. and if you role the date back further eventually those parents will start putting their kids in school a year later..
and kids that hold back for legitimate reasons... I can accept.. but because he won't make the team ain't one...
put em in the same class with their counterparts...
it's just like elite soccer, travel baseball, and aau hoops.. parents have so many options they get tunnel vision.
I know one thing.. I don't want to pay an extra year of tuition .. and I would feel kinda guilty watching my kid beat up on kids a year younger than him.
I'll never forget about 10 years ago I was watching a college game and having a few beers with a very successful HS coach.. and his former QB was the star of the game as a soph.. and he goes.. just think.. if he had gone *&$.. he would still be there(perfect birthday for 2 holdbacks).
