What really bothers me though, is I'm afraid this will worsen recruiting by a large margin if privates totally leave LHSAA then we may have a real issue. I'd hate my school to be basically forced to recruit to compete. Bringing in kids strictly for athletic reasons would destroy what the school is all about. I'd bet this is try for all but maybe 3-4 of all the privates out there.

Wait are you complaining that selcet schools will now be hurt by recruiting from the traditional private schools that have been recruiting? I guess you fully appreciate why public schools wanted away from that BS.

Let me spell it out to you since you don't seem to get it. Let's say Parkview Baptist doesn't recruit (and by and large, it does not). Well now PBS is going to have to compete with the Catholic League, etc. In order to stay competitive in the class they are in, they may HAVE to recruit.

So yeah, select schools are going to have to recruit even more to compete. By the very name of the division they are in -- the "select" division -- it implies a more competitive division. Better step up your game.

Not what I said.
What I said is that very few privates actually recruit.

They may be put in a league where they are forced to do so.

That is bad, for both the privates and for the publics they will pull from.
