Loved the open world in OoT, MM, and TP.
ETA: And at least there was stuff to DO while on the water...*cough*

It is kind of in between. Not really an open world like the other three, more like a vast collection of areas spread out that you had to sail to. It wasn't bad, but not the same. It was still better than Skyward Sword. Especially once you got the Ballad of Gales and could port around.
